The instruction and teaching that you will find here echoes the teaching of Jesus Christ as laid out in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John which has its roots in the old Testament.
The Old and New Testaments of the Bible are inseparable~ the old Testament tells the story or history of the Jewish people, their calling to become the People of God, their customs and laws, and their unique relationship with God preparing them for the coming of the Messiah. Though many Jews still await the coming of the Messiah, there are also many Messianic Jews who recognize Jesus as the Messiah promised by God through the Prophets.
The Psalms, in particular, formed the prayer book of Jesus and Mary, a prayer book they prayed from daily at particular hours of the day. The first disciples also prayed the Psalms and the church today in many denominations continues the practice of using the Psalms as a daily prayerbook. The Marian Hermit of Jesus also continues in that tradition praying the Liturgy of the Hours morning, noon, afternoon, evening and night.
The Rosary is also a way of living this tradition, because each mystery of the Rosary opens up the treasures hidden in the Psalms and those hidden in the New Testament writings. Through meditation upon the mysteries of the Rosary and the gift of God’s Grace at work in us, we uncover in our hearts the treasures of the Kingdom of God. As these mysteries unfold in our hearts we begin to see and understand the “pearl of great price” that is the Kingdom of God. The Holy Spirit, working within and around us, moves us and prompts us to put into practice in our lives, all that has been revealed to us through, with and in Christ. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life- He is our Good Shepherd of Divine Mercy guiding our feet along a path of peace.
