At the center of everything that the Marian hermit does and says and lives for, is Jesus- His Eucharistic presence among us is one of the greatest gifts He shares with us, and one of the greatest miracles ever performed-
The King of Heaven and earth presents Himself to us under the appearance of bread and wine- for almost two thousand years now we have been blessed to believe in, and receive, the “Consecrated Host” who is the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, true God and true Man- now, however, in recent times, scientific evidence also confirms the fact that fragments of Consecrated Hosts tested under laboratory conditions, not only confirm the presence of human Tissue and Blood in Consecrated Hosts, but also, they were able to narrow down the tissue type as being from the heart, and under analysis, the blood type confirmed that there was no earthly father- we live in an age when our faith in the true presence of Jesus in the Consecrated Host, the Blessed Sacrament that we, catholics receive, is now, more and more, being supported by the findings of science.
What is a consecrated Host? A Consecrated Host is what we call the altar bread that has been prayed over, blessed and offered to God by a Roman Catholic Priest using the Eucharistic prayer of the Mass, resulting in a type of transformation of the bread and wine which we call transubstantiation, meaning that the bread and the wine offered by the Priest (who can only perform this action in the person of Christ), after the moment of consecration, Jesus, in person, the Fullness of God is present on the altar. The Priest, after the words of consecration have been pronounced, no longer holds a piece of bread and a cup of wine In his hands, but instead truly holds the Body and Blood, soul and Divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who still retains the appearance of bread and wine.
Jesus Christ is truly present on the altar, at and after the moment of consecration takes place during our celebration of the Holy Mass, and He is truly present in the Communion Host that each one of us receives in the Sacrament of Holy Communion.
When the Priest or Lay Minister of the Eucharist places Jesus in all His Fullness, under the appearance of a little white Host, into our hands, we hold within our hands the Fullness of the presence of God.
The awesome power of this moment and the fullness of its reality is beyond our comprehension, for if we truly understood the fullness of this reality, we would fall into ecstasy at the very thought of approaching the altar. We would tremble at the thought of holding in our hands, the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ. If we were to fully grasp the significance of this moment we, would probably die of love, right there and then, on the spot ~ ah but our human hearts are incapable of grasping the depths of such a love as this, and so what we see and hold is not fully visible to us except through the eyes of faith.
Jesus is truly, personally, and just as present to us in the moment of Holy Communion as He was to His Disciples at the last supper.
Okay, so perhaps you may be finding my words a little difficult to comprehend? Well, if I myself fully comprehended and accepted Jesus in His Fullness, I would be in Heaven rather than me being still here on earth. Instead, just like you, I am growing in my understanding of the mystery of the Holy Eucharist. The more I grow and the more you grow in the understanding of the Real Presence of the Power, Majesty, and the unfathomable Mercy of God who personally visits each of us, when we receive Him in Holy Communion the closer we get to Heaven.
Let’s take a look at some of the scientific findings behind the tests that have been done on Consecrated Hosts to date, and this may help to reassure you that the Consecrated Host really and truly is, Jesus. https://www.ncregister.com/features/three-eucharistic-miracles-which-cases-have-undergone-the-most-extensive-scientific-analysis
The next time you receive Jesus in Holy Communion, you will, I pray, receive Him with even greater love, faith and fervor than ever before.
